The 7th Guest Series

The PC Industry's CD-ROM Killer Application

In 1993, CD-ROM drives were prohibitively expensive hardware novelties. Requiring two CD-ROM discs, The 7th Guest leveraged the format's massive storage to deliver 3D rendered architectural corridors and full-motion video spectral actors composited over digital environments. Publicly hailed by Bill Gates as 'the new standard in interactive entertainment', it moved over two million copies, igniting the global CD-ROM boom.

Henry Stauf's Mansion and Mathematical Conundrums

Cast as the disembodied spirit 'Ego' wandering the sprawling manor of sinister toy manufacturer Henry Stauf, players witnessed ghostly vignettes revealing the fates of six tragic guests. Progression hinged on solving intricate logic challenges—ranging from mathematical cake-slicing geometry to cellular automaton microscope puzzles and knight's tour chess gambits.
