Sumo Digital (2003)

The Sega Partnership and Vehicle Transformation

Initially demonstrating exceptional engineering by porting Sega's legendary OutRun 2 to Xbox, Sumo created Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and its acclaimed 2012 sequel, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Seamlessly transitioning vehicles from drift cars to hydroplanes and jet fighters mid-lap, it rivaled Mario Kart in competitive mechanical precision.

PlayStation Alliances and Sackboy's Evolution

Entrusted by Sony to expand the LittleBigPlanet universe, Sumo delivered LittleBigPlanet 3 before launching PlayStation 5 launch title Sackboy: A Big Adventure (2020). Featuring rhythmic platforming choreographed to tracks by David Bowie and Kool & the Gang, the game earned multiple BAFTA awards and solidified Sumo's pedigree.
