D.I.C.E. Awards (Interactive Achievement Awards)
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Definitive Peer-Voted Honors
Presented annually in Las Vegas since 1998 by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the D.I.C.E. Awards represent the interactive industry's true peer-voted equivalent to the Oscars.
Academy Peer Voting and Rigorous Integrity
Modeled after the film industry's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards are determined strictly by voting AIAS members across development disciplines. This insulated peer methodology eliminates commercial bias and public fan campaigns, producing results deeply respected by creators themselves.
Hall of Fame and Historic Pedigree
Inaugurated in 1998 with GoldenEye 007 taking Game of the Year and Shigeru Miyamoto inducted as the first Hall of Fame member, D.I.C.E. has honored icons including Sid Meier, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yu Suzuki, and Gabe Newell. Held during the executive D.I.C.E. Summit, it represents peer-recognized craftsmanship.
